Burke Museum (Seattle, University of Washington)
The Burke offers the Geology badge several times throughout the year. This is a comprehensive program taught by a PhD, with the assistance of a geological engineer. Scouts who come with an eagerness to learn can complete their badge on a Saturday afternoon. Parents can visit the rest of the museum, or remain with their Scouts (also open to Cubs and Webelos).

Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society
Every November, KMGS hosts “Kitsap Rocks!” at their Fall Festival of Gems (Kitsap Fairgrounds). Several merit badge counselors and experts are on hand to help Scouts work on and/or earn their Geology badges.
