This Eagle-optional badge requires much more than casual riding. With two 10-milers, two 15-milers, two 25-milers, and a 50-miler, it’s one that will require a great deal of planning.

50-miler Olympic Bike Adventure

This is an annual event, held at the end of September. The ride from Sequim to Port Townsend AND BACK is fully supported, with police and EMTs stationed throughout the course. There are aid stations and snack stations, and a pasta lunch at the mid-point for refueling. The entry fee supports Boys & Girls Club.

West Sound Cycling Club

Weekly Saturday rides of varying lengths and abilities. This is a social club for riders of all abilities. They sponsor a yearly (July) “Tour de Kitsap” with lengths of 100, 65, 35, 15 miles. The club offers a nationally recognized bicycle education program.

Cascade Bicycle Club

Seattle-based club that sponsors the annual Chilly Hilly ride (February) throughout Bainbridge Island.
