Art
Art is historically the “easy” badge. It’s a great one for younger Scouts to earn at summer camp as a first badge. But it can be so much more! While most Scouts have some experience with art, exposing them to other media can open up their eyes to what could become a lifelong interest.
“Scout-friendly” Art Galleries (requirement 4)
Claywerks Studio (Bremerton)
Full studio, very small gallery.
Owner Angela Perryman is a registered MB for Sculpture (and teaches pottery) who is happy to help Scouts.
The Sidney Art Gallery (Port Orchard)
Smaller gallery with a featured artist and static displays. What makes this a good choice is the volunteers who run it. They have a wealth of knowledge and are eager to share. No admission charge.
