Want to do more than just dig in a pile of sand at a summer camp?. arch01 Archaeology While sometimes taking the path of least resistance is necessary, when you can, you’ll get a lot more out of the merit badges by seeking out professionals. Archaeology is one of those fields where the average person just doesn’t have the knowledge to do it justice. This is a badge with substantial requirements, but if you’re able to work in the field, the answers will be apparent.

Every summer, Dr. Dale Croes of South Puget Sound Community College runs a summer field class for his students in Mudd Bay. Well-behaved and respectful older Scouts are welcomed to visit, and help on the dig.
