Scout Rangers

Scout Ranger patchScout Rangers is a collaboration of Boy Scouts of America and the National Park Service. Scouts can earn a certificate, or with just a little more work, a nice patch. These are temporary patches, to be worn on the right pocket or sewn onto a vest or blanket.

Ten hours of volunteer works nets the full award. This is a great way to fulfill community service hours, and make a difference while doing so. You might even think about double-dipping — why not plan it around your Soil & Water Conservation, Nature, Environmental Science, or Fish & Wildlife badges?
